The Lara D. Gass Symposium on Women in the Law is designed to bring awareness to issues relating
to women, gender equality, and diversity. Organized by the Women Law Students Organization
(WLSO) at Washington and Lee University School of Law (W&L Law), the inaugural symposium
celebrated 40 years of women law graduates at W&L and honored Lara Gass, a graduating third year
law student at W&L who left her mark on the school in countless ways before tragically passing away
in the spring of 2014.
